From August until October 2011 we are thrilled to bring to Europe two of the leading natural builders and earth plastering experts - Bill and Athena Steen.

This is a truly unique opportunity to meet them and take part in one of four workshops - in Denmark, Finland, France or Basque Country. To learn more about this tour click on the following link to see the complete announcement

Building a Rocket Flex Oven


1st - 3rd July 2011 Fri - Sun 9-17 in Villa Svalvik, Jollas

We are very excited to welcome Lars Keller from Living houses, Friland Denmark, who has agreed to come to teach a workshop on building a Rocket Flex Oven. This type of oven is very effective, and can be built using recycled materials. It is well known for it's ability to heat massive floors and stone benches through hot air channels.

Lars Keller is a master oven builder, course leader and natural builder living in the Danish community Friland.

Tadelakt, lime plastering & fine natural clay finishing

Saturday-sunday 04th-05th of June 2011 in Solberg, Inkoo

We are excited to introduce from Säästvad Ehituslahendused (sustainable building solutions) in Estonia, Kermo Jürmann and Taavi Leis, who have agreed to teach a workshop with a very practical approach to tadelakt, which is a Moroccan waterproof plastering technique ideal for use in wet rooms and as a highly decorative element.

They will also share with us their considerable knowledge of clay and lime plaster finishing techniques.
